Water Water Water

All I do is water. Really. Thankfully I came across this really great watering can that has evidently been around for a mere 1000+ years. Wish I'd found about it sooner.

Balancing Act

What a great childrens toy in the form of a cactus. Wish my mom would have found stuff like this for me...

Found this really nice pillow with a cacti motif on it. Nice.

Koko Crater Botanical Garden

Sorry there has been such a gap between blogs. Kara and I just got back from an amazing trip to Oahu with her family and we were without any computer stuff.... thank goodness.

Beyond having an incredible time with family, I actually got a chance to fill my plant needs by visiting a few botanical gardens and the awe inspiring garden of Angel Ramos, a member of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Hawaii and new friend.
Above are some of the plants we encountered at Koko Crater Botanical Garden and more photos of Angel's collection are soon to come.

KVEC AM 920

For all of you early birds here on the Central Coast, GROW is going to be featured on AM 920 at 6:10 am Wednesday morning.

LABOUR AND WAIT

So I'm talking to my friend Ben and he says,"Hey Nick, have you seen that Labour and Wait site?" So I check it out and find A TON of really, really, really, nice garden stuff. This one's surely for the bookmark bar.

Small de Stump.

Small Stump is a great new site full of cool stuff. I didn't think I would ever find someone that likes junk as much as I do. From vintage to the handmade, it's here. Check it.

Ceramic Corner

For the past few days, Richard Rowe and I have been putting together an entire section in GROW for a few of our favorite ceramic artists. Here are some photos of the first arrivals... More to come.

Studio 04

Studio 04 Los Angeles is a new site for me that is full of well designed stuff for around the home and garden. These are some of my favorites.

California Carnivores

Its been a while since we've mentioned much about the wide world of Carnivorous plants so I thought I would pass on a great site for all those into bug-eaters. California Carnivores is a world class nursery specializing in Carnivores from around the world. Great educational site and they even have cool carnivorous related things for sale like these hand painted totes and tees. The book featured above is the one to own on the subject. Enjoy.

Falcon Feast

This is a Peregrine falcon that comes everyday and tries to eat the doves that are kept just behind the nursery. Crazy.
